What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and enable analytics. Crontinel uses cookies on crontinel.com and app.crontinel.com as described below.
How we use them
We use two categories of cookies:
- Essential cookies: required for authentication and security - including your session cookie and CSRF token. These are set automatically and cannot be disabled without affecting your ability to use the service.
- Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics 4 on crontinel.com only, after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. These help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.
- Optional cookies: any third-party or marketing cookies beyond analytics. We do not use any.
Google Analytics 4
Crontinel uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on crontinel.com to collect basic usage statistics. GA4 uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors and store session state:
- _ga - used to distinguish users; expires after 2 years
- _gid - used to distinguish users; expires after 24 hours
- _gat_* - used to throttle request rate; expires after 1 minute
GA4 collects your IP address as part of the standard analytics payload. This data is sent to Google under Google's privacy policy. We do not share any personal data with Google beyond standard analytics.
Your choices
You have full control over analytics cookies. To opt out of GA4:
- Click "Decline" on the cookie banner on crontinel.com - this will prevent analytics cookies from being set
- Alternatively, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on which prevents GA4 cookies from being set in any browser
- You can also clear cookies at any time via your browser settings - this will remove all analytics identifiers
- To manage cookies site-wide, use your browser's cookie settings to block third-party cookies or site-specific cookies
Third-party cookies
In addition to our own cookies, some third-party services may set cookies as part of their integration with Crontinel:
- Cloudflare - sets
__cf_bm(Bot Management cookie) on app.crontinel.com to protect against bots and abuse. Subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We do not knowingly use any other third-party cookie providers beyond those listed above.
Updates
This cookie policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in how we use cookies or to comply with new regulations. We encourage you to review this page periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when this policy was most recently revised.
