Changelog

What's new in Crontinel.

2026-04-09 v0.3.0

Package split: crontinel/php + crontinel/laravel

  • Extracted the monitoring core into a standalone crontinel/php package (framework-agnostic); crontinel/laravel is now a thin Laravel adapter on top of it.
  • Published crontinel/php v0.1.0 to Packagist, covering CronMonitor, HorizonMonitor, and QueueMonitor without a Laravel dependency.
  • MCP server updated to @crontinel/mcp-server v0.2.0, adding a create_alert tool so AI agents can configure Slack, email, or webhook alert channels directly.
2026-04-08 v0.2.0

SaaS reporting, webhook alerts, and pruning

  • When CRONTINEL_API_KEY is set, the package automatically POSTs a status ping to app.crontinel.com every minute and pushes individual cron run events after each task completes or fails.
  • Added a webhook alert channel: set CRONTINEL_ALERT_CHANNEL=webhook and CRONTINEL_WEBHOOK_URL to receive structured JSON POST alerts with fire and resolve events; optional custom headers for authorization are supported.
  • New crontinel:prune command deletes old cron_runs records beyond the configured retention window; accepts --days=N to override. Fixed a bug where isLate detection incorrectly used Carbon::now()->next() instead of CronExpression::getPreviousRunDate().
2026-04-05 v0.1.0 launch

Initial release: OSS package MVP

  • Cron monitoring via ScheduledTaskFinished and ScheduledTaskFailed events, no command wrapping required. Queue monitoring covers depth, failed count, and oldest job age for Redis and database drivers. Horizon monitoring tracks supervisor status, paused state, and failed jobs per minute.
  • Self-hosted dashboard at /crontinel with dark theme and 30-second auto-refresh. JSON status API at /crontinel/api/status. Alert channels for Slack webhooks and email with 5-minute deduplication.
  • crontinel:check CLI command exits 0 (healthy) or 1 (alert), with --json and --no-alerts flags for scripting and CI use. crontinel:install publishes config and runs the migration in one step. Supports PHP 8.2 through 8.5, Laravel 11, 12, and 13.
